Derby arena is a multi use sports, gym and entertainment venue based in Pride Park, Derby.
The Derby Arena needed to replace some obsolete lighting in the gym. The fluorescent tubes being used in the lighting were no longer being manufactured, so a more permanent and sustainable solution was required.
The lighting previously being used ran in a continuous row along the ceiling, so in order to replace this we had to complete research on which lighting manufacturers would provide a suitable solution to fit the space.
Having removed the old lighting we installed high lumen output LED strips to create the same lighting effect and level as before, whilst providing a much more long term, energy efficient and sustainable solution.
The work was completed out of hours to suit the clients requirements and to provide minimum inconvenience to customers of the gym which is open 7 days a week.
Due to the nature of this client, all of our electricians are DBS checked (Disclosure and Barring Service) and we are able to undertake any works of this nature where this is necessary.
